We treat a broad range of painful musculoskeletal pain conditions, including neck pain and whiplash, back pain and sciatica, headaches and migraines, shoulder, hip, knee and ankle pain, shin splints, tennis elbow, fibromyalgia, neuropathic pain and joint pain.
We provide a tailored, holistic approach to help you solve your pain problem. Treatments include specialised injection techniques of soft tissues and joints, hands-on therapy, medication, pain education and counselling and exercise and movement rehabilitation. If needed, radiology and pathology tests and CT or ultrasound guided injections can be ordered or referral to other doctors made.
At Brisbane Integrated Pain Care you may also utilise the services of our experienced allied health practioners, the highly experienced and well-known physiotherapist Mark Comerford, and Jonathon Vautin, a very knowledgeable exercise physiologist.
Dr Bruce Jones is an experienced GP who has had additional university training in musculoskeletal pain care, as well as extensive experience in this field. You do not need a referral to see him. He is committed to providing you with the highest standard of care for your pain problem. He uses his in-depth understanding of musculoskeletal pain to work with you to find the cause of your acute or chronic pain problem and the best way to manage it.
Dr Modarres has been involved in musculoskeletal medicine since 2011 when he started working as a medical officer in the orthopaedic unit at Logan Hospital and Gold Coast Hospital. He has been assisting different orthopaedic surgeons in upper and lower limb surgeries, consulting patients with a variety of musculoskeletal conditions and attending several national and international courses and conferences in PRP, musculoskeletal ultrasound and sports medicine.
In 2014 Dr Modarres received the Fellowship of Royal Australian College of General Practitioners.
Dr Rob Illingworth is a GP with a background in Rural and Emergency medicine. He has been practicing in the field of Musculoskeletal Medicine since 2018 and undertaken further tertiary education in Pain Medicine through the University of Sydney.
He takes a holistic approach to the management of musculoskeletal pain, working with patients to find non-surgical treatments to help manage and recover from pain. He uses a wide array of treatments including manual therapies, rehabilitation exercise, injection therapies and medications to find the best individual outcomes for patients.
Dr. Mohnish (Mo) Jain is a GP Anaesthetist who is currently undertaking post specialisation training from the Faculty of Pain Medicine (FFPMANZCA) to become a certified pain specialist.
He aims to utilize all aspects of pain management including rehabilitation, musculoskeletal therapy, medications, and specialized injections to help manage pain and improve quality of life. He was awarded the Merit Prize for the Fellowship Examination in 2024, given to the top candidate in Australia and New Zealand.
He has worked in numerous roles including acute pain at various hospitals and more recently in persistent pain services at the Princess Alexandra Hospital and Tess Crammond Pain Clinic at Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital. Prior to this he has worked in rural and regional hospitals and community GP.
